Kink in oil line at tank

Hey Guys, I know I read about this somewhere, but can't find the thread.

The rubber line that goes from the oil pump line, around the back of the motor and up to the tank, with the bent metal end, has a kink in the rubber when I installed it. Either the angle of the metal portion is too great, or the rubber is too long.

Whats the solution?

TIA

john, if you loosen up the fittings at either end, can you "rotate" the hose to release the kink? this is what i had to do, and as a bonus the hose just sat against the car better, making that M6 stud easier to work with.

Yeah, I tried that, it just flattend the kink a little instead of it being at an angle. If I could take an inch or so out of the rubber part, it would be fine.

Or,

Remove the hose, cut the crimp off carefully, remove the end, cut the hose 2 inches off, put the hose back on the end, use 2 hose clamps.

It works, may be not as beautiful, but it works.

I couldn't get our host on the phone yesterday afternoon (it was late, about 4pm their time) maybe I'll try again today, not sure if they have sat hours, see if they have a shorter hose by now. I know I bought the first one from them.
