Torque for 930 CV joint
I have been looking through the technical posts and I am trying to determine the correct torque for the CV bolts on a 930. What I have read is either 30 or 60 ft-lbs for 8 and 10 mm bolts respectively, but the reference describes a 4 versus 6 bolt configuration. The 930 bolts are 10 mm and there are 6 of them - My maintainance manual is in German, but I think the translation is for 60 ft-lbs.
Just looking for clarification. Thanks |

How are you measuring the screws; a 10 mm screw will be approximately 10 mm in diameter across the threads. 60 ft-lbs for the 10mm screws and 36 ft-lbs for the 8mm screws. If you have replaced the screws ensure you have class 12.9 (look for small characters on the edge of the head) replacements. Jim
