How to modify a weltmeister strut bar so it is "right".

Not sure if I have seen a picture here or not, definitely learned about the correct way to modify. If you have a Welt meister strut bar I would suggest the following mod. Cut the center out so it does not attach to the top of the insert. The top of the insert needs to pivot slightly as the suspension goes up and down. Having the top anchored prevents it from pivoting. There are much better designs out there if you are buying new IMHO. Sorry I dont have a shot from before the Mod. Special thanks to fellow pelican Derk Pitt for doing the machine work at the right price :-)) That reminds me I forgot to buy his lunch last time we were out!!

Or if you go to the current thread, something about "fun at TRE motorsports" or something like that you'll see their strut brace. It looked like a pretty good piece too.
