who's selling updated AC compressors?

my friend's 87 has a bad compressor. he is willing to buy a rebuilt unit. but i was just wondering if you can just install the upgraded compressors from sanders(?)? is that the rotory compressor? will it work if the compressor is the only change? or do the lines need to be replaced too?

Running Performance Aire for 5 years without a recharge. Get the new barrier hoses with the upgragded compressor.

The rotary is a Seiko Seki. The Sanden is a swash-plate/5 piston design.

Cliff, Griffiths sells replacement/ update A/C stuff for Porsche as well. www.griffiths.com. There was an install of their A/C system upgrade in Excellence a few months back, I think it was a Carrera, it got good reviews though.
