Hood badge location?

I have a F/G hood and am putting a hood badge decal on. Obviously it would be centered side to side but how far from the front edge would it be? Say to the point of the bottom of the crest? The car is a 1973 long hood.
Thanks.

I would, but I have a Carrera! By the way, don't even start drilling holes in that uncured paint job yet!

I've got the factory service manuals at home.

I'll let you know later if nobody answers by then. When I had my body work done, we welded up the holes, and went badgeless.

I will measure it tonight on two conditions.
1. You do not use a "decal" on the front of the Porsche. Go buy the emblem. 2.... wait a few more days for the paint to breathe out before making any holes.
......a decal ? -your killin' me

Shawn, after all the effort to lighten your car are you really going to put that heavy decal on it?

Garage
I layed a string from the bottom edge of the hood to the bottom point of the crest than measured it. The distance on my 73 is
6 and 7/16 inches.

Send a message via AIM to mikester
I was going to volunteer...

I'll measure mine too just to see if it is the same.

How 'bout that?

Mike, I have a hunch your measurement will be shorter. I have a long hood.
