Angry starting problems

Couldn't find my exact problem in past postings. If I turn the key to the run position all the electrical stuff works, as soon as I try to start it everything goes dead. Could it be the switch or something deeper?

- weak battery
- weak battery terminal connection
- weak battery grounds
- bad starter windings

I'd probably test starter amp draw if I believed all connections and battery were OK.. if you see 300-400amp draw on a cold engine then I'd assume starter was NG
