Starting problem - Alarm?

Yesterday I went to get my '92 911 out of winter storage. Unlocked the door, tried starting, no power, attached a charger, waited, tried starting with the door open, the alarm goes off, the dashboard lights up but the car will not start, turn off car, alarm stops.

Wait for further charging, in the mean time I try locking the door, the door will not lock. Try starting again, no power whatsoever. The no instrument gauges light up, nothing.

I am thinking the alarm has immobilized the starting of the car. Is this possible?

I attach a trickle charger and the alarm goes off, stops after 4 minutes. The trickle charger is still attached to the car.

My battery is two years old and may need to be replaced.

Any thoughts on whether or not I will have a problem with my alarm stopping me from getting my car started. (The car is in storage and I cannot get to it for awhile)?

If so, any ideas on how to remedy the situation.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think your alarm may "think" the car is being stolen and gone into lockout mode. I had a similar problem on my 88 with a Clifford alarm but I found out that if I disconnect the control module/brain and then hook it back up the alarm resets and the car will work. I finally removed the whole system since it would go off driving down the highway....very disconcerting.
Good Luck
