Where to fuse evaporator blower

Guys

Bentley seems to tell me the red/white wire is +12v to the seizure-prone evaporator blower. Is that the right place to put an inline fuse? Is this a 12ga wire? I believe I've heard 7.5a recommended?

Thanks

Yep, to both questions.

Edit - I don't remember if that is a 12 gauge wire, but I think it is, regardless, 7.5 amp might be a bit conservative (on the low side) - I think I used a 10 amp fuse. Those motors can pull a little over 7 amp at startup - especially if worn. 10 amp is plenty safe for 14-12 gauge wire, regardless.

Evaporator blower fuse

When I replaced my SC fuse panel with one of my ATO panels, I split the a/c load that was on fuse 19 to use 19 and 20 (counting from the front of the car). That way each motor (evaporator and front condensor) has its own fuse. You can do the same thing with your car using any vacant fuse position. Be sure to note any fuse changes for future use or owners.
