RGruppe @ Leguna
The RGruppe will be at Leguna this coming weekend for the Sports Car Invitational. As of last week, Cris had 89 confirmed attendees. If past events are any indication, that means that at least twice as many early 911s will be there.
Unfortunately, my RSR replica will still be in Crockett having the Haltech EFI dialed in on the 2.8. But I will be there hoping to meet Mr. Olson - my idol ;>).

Mr. Olsen will be there with his startlingly dirty and stone-chipped RSR replica. The car will still have most of its race decals on it from the Open Track Challenge (which works to cover some of the chips).
The cool thing about the R Gruppe gathering is that my car is literally one of the ugliest cars in attendance.

Jack, sorry for the misspelling of your name. I am looking forward to meeting both you and your RSR.

Jack, have you tried the new 3M clear film to stop chips?
It's supposed to be non-yellowing and not damage paint. |

I'm going to be at the track all weekend (Fri-Sun) crewing for some friends running in the PCA Club Race, look for the Reitmeir's Werkstatt trailer in the paddock and ask for Doug... It'd be great to put some of the faces with the names!
Hope to see you there!

I plan on driving my 'SC to Laguna on Saturday. Does anybody have any details on the "Fan Parade Lap" at 12:05 to 12:45. I've never had my car out on the track at Laguna. The recent thread describing parade laps at Daytona/Rennsport II got me thinking. Pelicans Hit the High Banks of Daytona! I can find no details on the Laguna Seca website besides the time. -Brad

At Laguna on Saturday, the RGruppe will have a corral on vendor island, the only cars there. Other corrals will be in other areas.
Fan laps on Saturday begin at 12:10 and go until 12:35. These are laps for anyone who wants to pay 10.00 per lap. All RGruppe cars with a corral pass will have free laps on Sunday from 12:45 to 1:15. We should have time for around 3 laps, not so sure how many laps we'll get in on Saturday. Should be a great weekend, weather looks to be perfect.

Hi Brad,
Yes, Jeff will be sharing his race car (924S) with his friend Jim Lane, and Jeff's wife Stacy will be racing her 944 Turbo. You're right about Jeff's SCCA accomplishments, he holds 8 Solo and SoloII National titles, most recently in an M3. Did you know that Stacy holds 12 SCCA National titles? She is fast... Look us up in the paddock, you shouldn't have a hard time finding the Reitmeir trailer. Take care,

Thanks for the information.
I'll wander through the R Gruppe corral and by Reitmeir's trailer. Perhaps I'll get a chance to meet some more folks from Pelican list. I supect I'll recognize a few faces from local group drives. I'll also try and get in on some parade laps. I'd like my passenger to snap a photo as I pass under the Michelin bridge. -Brad
