scratch on hubs?
I was taking the hubs out of a pair of trailing arms for use on my car, and on both hubs the outer bearing race stayed firmly stuck on the shaft of the hub. I busted out the dremel and chisel and got them off, but both now have a little groove cut into them. not very big, and not very deep (.5 mm if that). I don't think it's an issue, but just wanted to make sure. Can I re-use these or did I just screw up my hubs?
thanks! |

Not an issue. The bearings run on the races. And I can guarantee those races will still fit tightly on your hubs. If the groove you cut has a raised ridge you might want to use a bit of emory cloth to smooth the ridge down. Other than that, don't worry about it.
