Fixed my mysterious "carb" trouble!
Well since last year I've been having trouble with my modified Zenith carbs (larger venturis and jets) on my 3.0. I tried everything with the tune to get them working to the point I was going to take them off and toss 'em. Then the week before Hershey I noticed a crack near the bolt hole on one of the manifolds, http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/...s/thinkerg.gif So there's that damn vacuum leak! Anyway I just got done swapping in a manifold I bought and Hershey and guess what, my car doesn't sound like a Harley anymore and I can actually get it to idle at a reasonable level. Thank god the popping is gone! |
