16 inch boxter wheels on a narrow body 911
Does anybody have any advise on if a 1976 911 S can be fitted w/16in boxter rims?

You should be able to with the correct spacers, as the 16 inch Boxster wheels are only 6 and 7 inches wide. The 6 inch fronts have a 50mm offset, the 7 inch rears have a 40mm offset.

Stock 6" fronts are +36mm o/s so you need ~14mm spacer front
assuming that you have the stock non flared rear fenders you need around +40mm for 215/60 so no spacer is needed and ~+33mm for 225/50 so a ~7mm spacer for that tire. The fenders are not exact so ± a few mm.
