Does this switch have a function? PIC

just got the bentley manual and discovered this switch.
my question....does it have a function if the o2 sensor is disconnected?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1083364011.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1083364036.jpg

Jason,
I think that the switch is useless w/ o2 sensor disconnected.

As an aside, when I was runnning the o2 sensor I had some problems w/ stalling when the revs dropped- it turned out that switch wasn't being tripped. Adjusting it fixed the problem.

Yes.

"When the engine is cold" implies open loop operation, before the O2 sensor is up to operating temp. The Open loop duty cycle is fixed at 65% (for 81-83), so momentarily bumping it up to 75% will make it a little richer off idle.
