what is this part that fell from my SC?

I was driving home tonight and went over a pothole, heard a clanging from my front driver wheel well. Got out and looked underneath and saw a triangular metal plate attached to a hose dangling down right behind the tire. It's too late to jack up the car and look to see what it's attached to. Thought i might get some input here before I tackle it in the morning since I plan on going on a 400 mile road trip later tomorrow.

The only parts and/or hoses that are located directly behind the driver's front wheel are for the air conditioning, I believe it's the dryer system. Must be part of that.

Pictures would be helpful. Could be a/c related, or could be related to vapor recovery system.

Sounds like it could also be a brake cooling air scoop, assuming you had one installed
