What color should I paint my 930?
I'm getting ready to paint my 930. I'm pretty sure I'm going to paint it orange, but I'm not sure how it will look. What do you guy's think? What other colors do you suggest? I don't want white, black or red. The car will have Ruf bumpers and Fikse wheels.

signal orange

My next car is getting painted orange. I absolutely love the color on Porsches, and the recent thread on orange Porsches has only confirmed it.

Lemon light green, I saw a turbo that color once. Wow.
|
sepia brown? :)

If you want to stick to a non-metallic, I'm partial to these early blues:
Mexico Blue Arrow Blue (AKA "Fishcop" blue). Gulf Blue I like the following non-metallics also: Viper Green Irish Green Signal Orange (is this the same as "Jagermeister" orange?) Tangerine If you can find some one with a turbo/widebody with Ruf bumpers and Fikses, (shouldn't be too hard around here) you might try to get a picture or two. Then you can photoshop a few different color variations for comparison. SmileWavy |
Silver would be a hot color for a turbo.

I vote for Jagermeister orange. The color looks great in pics and in real life

Fishcop blue

for a fun 930 on Conn roads I'd go w/ flat black.

Hey Victor,
The white car is an ex Porsche Cup racer from the early 90's that the owner converted back to a street car. From what I can tell that entailed nothing more than removing the stickers and bolting the number plates back on. Its very light (c/f bumpers and tail) and very fast (short gears, 430 odd hp). The 18" wheels JUST clear the brakes - which made life interesting the day he had a flat and tried to bolt the (16") space saver on... Its still not as old school cool looking as the Kremer... |
Eric - you rock at this photoshop trickery, that looks great!
