bulk spark plug wire

I have a new set of spark plug connectors but am having trouble finding the bulk wire to make my own set of plug wires? Anybody know where I can get it?

Go to Google and type, "Spark plug wire bulk". One of the first ones that popped up was Taylor. They offer resistance wire as well as metal core versions. Sherwood

Boy, I wish I had been that lucky two weeks ago. Hours on Google got me nothing conclusive... I ended up at Napa and bought a 100' roll of 7mm metal core.

Sherwood, Taylor's website only talks about 8 mm wires.... but mine are 7 mm. I am afraid they won't fit my connectors... am I right?

I'm pretty sure that's right, but it's hearsay for me to say that because I've never actually tried to stuff 8mm wires into 7mm end connectors, but have only read painful reports from other people who have. If Taylor doesn't have 7mm's, drop by your friendly local Napa Auto Parts store. Not nearly so convenient as ordering online and having shipped straight to your door, but an operable solution nonetheless. Dan

I haven't tried squeezing 8mm wires into 7mm connectors either, but doesn't Magnacore do this with stock Beru connectors? Or do they somehow bore out the connector; or are Magnacore wires also 7mm? Don't know, but I'm sure others do. I don't see the harm in reducing the OD by 1 mm so it slips easier into the connector. You may have to do the same with the ends where they slip into the distributor cap. As far as the wire separators, people slit the opening so the fatter wire can slip through or purchase 8mm wire separators from the many hot rod sources. Sherwood
