Porsche Crest Please "read" these plugs

OK, I changed my plugs this weekend. Near as I can tell, these have been in use since 1995 however only 10K miles. Since I don't have the Haynes manual I have no idea what they are telling me. The car seems to be pretty healthy. Many thanks!

BTW: There as displayed as they would be installed. #1 is lower left.

I took a couple more....Hopefull this is a more usable photo.

I looked on Amazon for the Haynes book. The consensus was that it sucks. Anyone here feel that way?

Your hands are too clean for a mechanic

For a CIS street car, they look good. Some additives (wrong kind) in the gas cause the little marble like deposits. What gas do you use?

They look a bit rich, but nothing that can't be fixed by tuning the CIS a bit. Rich is much better than running lean. A scary sight would be to see wet oil on the plugs, meaning bad rings or valve guides. The up close pic looks clean of any oil.

BTW: With your new MSD and blaster coil, you can now gap the plugs a bit wider than factory (.35-.45).

I would agree with those already posted- marginally rich if anything. Mine looked almost identical last time I pulled them & the car is running great.

That's what I was doing

Thanks all for your assessment. Pretty much confirms what I was told by the paid wrench in the fall.

I also believe with the advent of non-leaded gasoline...many of the "indicators" don't mean much anymore. Certainly, some oiling as indication of worn valve guides, etc....but the rest of the old stuff doesn't apply anymore.

And while you're at it, you might get your mixture set or your new plugs might end up like your old ones in no time.

If you ever need the Hayne's manual, you can borrow mine since it collects dust sitting in my garage.
