Please post pics of 80-83 SC engine comp. without A/C
Can someone supply pictures of an engine compartment of a late SC without factory A/C? I am deleting my A/C and want to route the heater hoses accordingly.
I am pretty sure I can loose the reducer for the RH hose going over the fan, but I'd like to see how it has to look like to be correct! Thanks! George Last edited by aigel; 05-15-2004 at 01:19 AM.. |

This is my '83 Euro SC. You probably won't have the air pump.

Just a note about Paul's photo since he didn't mention it. He also backdated the heat and removed the bower motor. This is another way to get more room on the left side of the engine.

Thanks guys for the pics! Backdated heat, eh? Seems like a nice thing to do, so you don't have that piece of bratwurst going over the engine fan! Of course, your heating efficiency will be backdated too? Proably a thing to do once I get SSI exhaust, since those exchangers supposed to work better than the stock ones.
I will hang with the correctly dated heat for now and route things the way Brian's picture shows. These pictures were most helpful! I appreciate it!!! George |
