Altercation at the gas pump bathroom (well, sort of)

Pulled into a Mobil station on my way to work. (i frequently use this station)

8 pumps total, only 2 cars there, including my red 83 911...Filled up with $38.05 damage. At this point, i have an awful feeling in my stomach so i go in to use their restroom.

10 minutes later, I'm washing my hands at the sink, when a guy walks in (maybe the manager) and says "is that you're Porsche there?"
"yeah"

he says "can you park it off to the side next time, it's in the way of the pumps".

i didnt say anything, finished drying my hands and walked out, as he stepped into the stall.

there were 6 other pumps available and i wasnt blocking a driveway on anything. just had left it parked in front of the pump i used for 10 min.

was he picking on me for driving a 911?

I get that attitude when I park in handicap parking spaces when there are plenty of other ones around, the nerve of some people!

I can see where he is coming from but it sounded like you were having an emergency.

It doesn't sound like a big deal in the case you describe, but I'd never leave my car blocking a pump.

I doubt if the guy was picking on you ar the car. He probably would say that to anyone, anytime he got the chance. Some people are just pricks. Time to gas-up elsewhere.

Having a friend witha station, believe me people do the stupidist $hit in the world at gas stations. From the guy who washed his ENTIRE car with the window squeegee to the lady who blocked a pump lane to go to a restaurant two buildings down.

The guy was probably having a bad day.

You'd have a piss poor attitude if you made $7 an hour. I don't argue with people like that, they have nothing to lose. Parking lot rent-a-cops are the ones that come after me, I just act overly serious & apoligetic, like they wield some serious authority. That way we both get a kick out of it & they don't call the real cops.

More or less a jerk I suppose. I've noticed that Mobil has gone down hill lately, and to make it worse there mostly owned by Muslims (jk) (nrbihtbpcntgf). Maybe its time to visit a Chevron.

I go to gas up and use the at the pump credit card machine. IT says I have to go inside to complete the sale...What?!

So, I go inside and he says that is how it works at this station - every credit card has to be done inside. So, I ask what is the point of having the swipe at the pump then. He just stares at me and asks how much gas to I want. I say, None - you're wasting my time I'll go across the street from now on.

So I did. I vote with my dollars every day, if you don't like the service you get somewhere - DONT give them money.

But with this guy - I would let it slide - OR you could just go in there like a reasonable guy and say something to the effect of "You know I've been using this station a long time. I was in the restroom for something of an urgent nature and I didn't move my car. I don't habitually use gas station restrooms because they sort of have a reputation for not being clean. No disrespect to yours of course. When you came in there and told me to shove off I was pretty offended and as a long time customer it made me consider taking my patronage elsewhere. Your lack of understanding disturbed me especially since almost every other pump was available for use. Had that not been the case I definitely would not be complaining to you now and I would have understood your position completely."

Or you could just shove off and get gas elsewhere. =-)
