Same here. In pulling off the dog teeth I got the synchro hub removal tool and didn't use. I guess because i couldn't figure out its function. I used a small screwdriver (or wood chisel) and pounded it under the dogteeth. Then I just worker my way around it with another couple of screw drivers. It workerd like a champ.
