Anyone backdated heat and kept A/C?

I've seen in past posts that it seems like it can be done, but no one has spoken up to say, I have done it and it works. Anyone???

I wanted to check before I spend the $$$ on the right side diverters only to find that they will not fit under the A/C compressor bracket.

Thanks.

Back dating the heat system doesn't affect any part of the AC system. The SC heat system works off the rear blower and heat exchangers. The AC system uses the evaporator fan in the smugglers compartment. I upgraded my AC system last year and plan to back date the heat when I can get the required parts at a good price.

Jim that is true, however, my real question is can the A/C compressor still be in place with back dated heat, due to the location of the blockoff plate the hose.

Yes.

It isn't much fun to get the hose on if the compressor is in place, but it fits.
