Help your "brother"
Wayne:
Is it possible to get the code for the "posting pictures" so that we can incorporate it into the site for the early911S registry? That would be for the Multiple attachments, and for the size add-on that you just programmed. This would make it so much easier to use that BBS, and most of the members there are also members here. Just a different application of Porsche Lovers. Whatcha think? larry |

Steve,
I wondered if I would catch flak for that front valance. It is off an early 80's 935 K3. I adapted it to a narrow body just because I liked it. It has room for brake cooling ducts and a front oil cooler. My turn signals are mounted behind the grill on either side of the cooler. I'll try to take some more pictures and post later on this weekend. Thanks Wayne for the effort in making this easier for us. Alan Poh '77 Carrera 3.0 |

Thanks Guys ,
Klaus - I looking for a 930 Turbo at the moment - it would be "cheaper" to buy one rather than make one - there seem to be quite a few for sale in Sydney at the moment. |
Great addition! Pictures are always great and this eliminates some frustrating work - I have a folder where I keep the "small" files I create to post and send - now I can copy the ones I post off the site to use as Email fodder too!
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1085213243.jpg Off to the paint booth for a spray - jamb work and trunks, parts etc done in the garage paint booth. Slower, but alot faster than my back and forth dowsizing before! Another! This is great - can the server handle the new picture volume??!! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1085212494.jpg My day in the paint booth (23 April) - Sealer coat 300 kB - 18 seconds - cable modem @ 3 MB/sec - sure:) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1085212661.jpg Back home in Marine Blue Metallic - prior to 2 weeks of color sanding and polishing. 20 Sec - 500 kB Assembly ongoing - engine going back in Saturday. |

Takes a little longer. But I guess that makes sense. A 400k image, originally. |

Wayne,
I agree that it seems to load just a little bit slower. And, for whatever reason, the "Upload Finished" confirmation box remained blank without showing the new image file name, nor did it then automatically add the image file to the text of my message in the reply box as its done in the past. I had to go "View Source" of the (blank) "Upload Finished" box in order to find the new image file name, and then copy and paste it to the text of my message. Any idea why? The reason why it's slower is because you're uploading a larger file. The file must get uploaded first, then my webserver resizes it. If it's a really large file, and you have a very slow connection, it will take forever, and the webserver will "timeout" and kick you out... -Wayne |
I keep getting a blank screen saying the photo has up loaded. What the heck am I doing wrong? I aslo noticed I can not down load smiles?????
|
Wait for the page to fully load...sometimes it doesn't work for me if I don't wait long enough for my status bar to say 'done'.

But, my brake photo that I uploaded above (a) isn't particularly large in its original size (696 x 655, 85KB) and (b) doesn't appear that it was resized at all by your server as the posted file remains the same size as the original. Connection speed has never been an issue for me in the past, and the only window open is/was my browser. Smilies aren't working for me either, FWIW... Tim |
