brake bleeding

I think I already know the answer to this, but in order to save a little time and frustration I'm going to ask.

When any of the brake lines has been removed (eg front caliper for wheel bearing repacking) it is necessary to bleed all 4 calipers to remove air that developed up stream from the front calipers...correct?

I'm not sure how I got it into my head, but I was kind of hoping that since I only cracked open the front calipers, I could get away with bleeding only the fronts...? Maybe I was thinking back to my motorcycle days with the two seperate braking circuits...

Dustin

air in the lines can do mysterious things, you really should bleed them all IMO.
the motive powerbleeder makes this an easy one man job with minimal time involved, our host carries it

If you have a dual circuit MC, I believe that you can stick to bleeding the front only (I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong ) If you lose braking power in the front your rears are still preserved so I would think that getting air in the front wouldn't affect the rears.
