Anyone up for parts (and free hotdogs) instead of doughnuts?

Porsche Club & *********** Swap Meet & Greet:

On Saturday May the 22nd from 9:00 to 4:00 your Peachstate Porsche Club and Automobile Atlanta will host their first annual Spring swap meet on the grounds of Automobile Atlanta at 505 South Marietta Parkway in Marietta. The meet is open to one and all and there is no charge to vendors (although space is limited so you should pre register at www.***********.com/swap registration ends May 15th 2004). Bring all of your gathering, dust off your old Porsche parts and recycle them to some deserving fellow member. Great fun is guaranteed for all and door prizes and hotdogs will be offered.

Setup begins at 8:30 and parking is at the Cobb County Civic center as only "swap stuff" will be allowed on the Auto Atlanta premises. Please visit www.***********.com/swap for details and early registration or call 770-427-2844

swap meet tip, if the meet starts at 9am and you get there at 11, all the good stuff will be gone. get there at 8 if you need anything.

It suked.. Had about 7 people with very limited stuff. It was a good idea, but just dont think it got advertised right. The swap meets at PAP used to be huge. Good hot dogs though.

I agree - not alot going on -First guyhad a good deal on some stock cup wheels with tires/centers & H5's. As i am talking and thinking about it, A dismantler whips out the checks and buys everything from the dude. Oh well - that sucked

Man I am bummed I missed you guys, Should have worn a pelican hat. I was the guy in the white tahoe with a bunch of junk for sale. You know worn out carpet pieces and such :-)) I left at 1:00 or so.

I wonder if they do it a couple of times per year it will grow??

That sucks a dismantler bought that stuff...

Yeah, the selection wasn't great, but I picked up a couple of minor items.

But... it was good to see some fellow Pelicans. I left early, sorry I missed the rest of you.

Yep, what they said! I got there right at 11:00 as planned, stopped to talk to the first "vendor" who immediately sold me a 911 license plate cover! The other sellers didn't have anything that I was particularly interested in but it was fun getting to talk to some other Porsche owners for a while. Oh, well, at least I got a chance to take an exended drive (500 miles round trip) in the Pcar and get out of town for a few hours. A little later I drove around to the NE side of Atlanta to Jim Ellis Porsche and took a look at a Carrera GT! I was really bummed when they would not let me test drive it! The salesman kept mumbling something about "are you crazy" and "yeah, after you pay for it with cash!"
About that time the heavens opened up with lots of lightning and thunder and heavy rain in some spots. At least the rain cooled the air down some so the drive home was pleasant. I've had worse Saturdays!
