What do you make of this ebay SC??

Looks like a good project car......but I have to ask myself the question as to why a would you do all that work, then try to sell it with the last minor finishing items undone???

Why would someone write several sentences about a car on ebay and get all excited and then forget the link???

IF the bidding is already at $6100. and still have 8 days left, this car is going to be pricey. You can get a SC completed with the same specs for 9-10K.......Why do you like this car?

He says they spent $7,000 on motor work, but doesn't say exactly what that included.

I'll pass.

Do you really want to buy any car without a thorough inspection.

I like the idea of the rebuilt motor, new paint, polished fuchs, etc. I do agree though, it will probably be pricey. I don't think you will find a SC with a rebuilt motor, and new paint completed with the same specs for 9-10 grand. I think 13-14 is more likely. But I think I will too will pass......

I agree Tim. I’m just west of you over in BC and the prices are pretty high here as well. The cheapest 911 in today’s rag was 20k CDN and up into the 30s for a nice older 911

Yeah, I would love to find one here in Canada, but it's not very likely. The money you would save along with a better selection will probably take me to the US. I will make a vacation out of it I guess!

Fresh paint, a 'fresh' engine with no miles and an owner that is cutting it loose? Perfect scenario for a total catastrophe.

Nothing bad about rebuilt cars, but I'd want one that has seen some miles with paint that is 3 or better 5 years old.
