early SC dizzy - ???

Hi,

Can some please quickly help with one question.

Q. Do all SC distributors have a vacumm or do the early type (78/79) not have a vacum.

If anyone has a 78 SC can they take a quick look for me, maybe even take a pic.

Thanks

I have a 78 SC that has had the vac adv disconnected after the engine was rebuilt with hi comp P&C. Apparently it is not unusual to run an engine like this and the only lasting effect is a loss of MPG at higher speeds when the dissy runs out of mechanical advance.
