Clutch spring

On an '88 911 is there a way to lessen the tension on the clutch pedal, my wife finds it laboring to use the car in traffic situations
thanks for the help

Have you checked to see if the "horseshoe" helper spring down by the tranny is broken?

The 88 is hydraulic. Is she still ... not ok with that? There is no way out I am afraid.

There was just a blurb about it in Excellence. The needle bearings on the clutch release fork on the 87-89 G50 trans cars. Apparently these needles get gummed up over time and get sticky.

Somehwere, I suspect here at Pelican, there are better aftermarket parts to replace this bearing assembly. Of course this will require and R&R of the motor (~$250 here in CA).

Good luck.

My bad. Of course there is no horseshoe spring.
