GT3 brake question
Why are the brake calipers on a Porsche GT3 et al. oriented they way they are?
The front on the rear of the rotor the rear on the front of the rotor. I have my thoughts what do you guys think?

No difference if the mounting point fits the struts either way. There may be clearance issues for servicing and pad changes favoring one location over the other. maybe this current way optimizes the weight distribution between the axles.

Room for other supension and steering components.
On motorcycles there is an advantage to trailing mounts on the back of the forks but it doesn't translate over to automotive use.
