Please Help with Unknown Hose & Bracket

I wasn't smart enough to label everything and I have a couple of unknowns. The first photo is a cloth braided hose about 14mm OD and is in the left forward area of the engine compartment. Any ideas what it goes to??

Next photo is a bracket that I believe came from the engine or engine compartment and I have no clue. Any ideas what it might be??

Thanks much for the help!!

looks like the vent line to the crusie control. No need to plug. There's also on open ended smaller diameter line coming off the engine that you need to plug. It should be coming out of a t fitting somewhere in the vicinity of the throttle plate/breather hose area.

I cannot recall the bracket but it looks somewhat familiar. Sorry.

Cool Mystery Pieces....

I agree that the hose is for the cruise control unit. The bracket is a support bracket for the a/c (I think!). It should bolt to the engine just behind the oil pressure sender on one end and to the a/c bracket on the other end.

Good Luck!

Maybe that's the bracket the supports the FI system. On an SC when you pull off the CIS there's a bracket that's in the same area where I said the t-fitting would be. It keep the relatively heavy CIS system well supported. There's pictures out there. Just search for "breather plate" and hopefully in one of those pictures (since the breath plate is nearby the bracket I am thinking of) you'll see if it's this bracket or not.

That bracket isn't for the AC and I don't think it is on the engine either. Possibly cruise control?

The hose is definitely the cruise control vent hose. And I agree with Chris, I don't think that bracket goes to anything on the engine. I took very detailed pictures of my 3.2 before I disassembled it. Just looked at them and don't see any bracket similar to the one you have.

Additional Photos!

So it looks like the hose goes to this cruise control servo. Seemed strange because the servo has a threaded fitting. But now that you guys say that, I see that it can't go any where else. See the photo. I also took a photo showing where the hose goes down in between the rear shock mounts.

By the way, is there a way to check the cruise control servo. The cruise control didn't work when I bought the car and I imagine it could be several things. I'd like to find out if the servo works or not because it would be a #*?!% to change out afterthe engine is back in!!

I suppose the bracket could be from the A/C hoses just off the compressor. I'll check that out!

Thank you all very much!!!
