Are you sure you want the slant nose? That look isn't too popular these days.

I would go with the widebody but not the slant nose. If you ever want to sell it (we should not work it from that end, I know), the regular widebody will be easier to unload.

Rick I do think your car is sweet... no offense intended it looks evil. I just hate seeing good cars getting cut. It's like watching plastic surgery on TV.

My first P-car was a slope. Man, you get a lot of attention from the honeys when you drive one!

i am not into the slant personally, but the how-to pictures are great! cutting off sheet metal and welding will never be something i am brave enough to do by myself. i cant wait to see the finished product. hurry.

I like slants when they are done completely over the top... its got to be a complete package: wheels, paint, tail, the works. Its when they go half-way and run gold Borbets or use a turbo tail that I quickly lose interest. There was a vid on here not too long ago of some rediculous twin-turbo slant beasty with crazy custom paint that I really liked.

LOL, I'm fine Targa

I did my car in '89 (and finished in '90).

I probably wouldn't go this route presently. However, I learned a lot and I still love the look of my car. To each his own.

Please don't stop now. What are you doing, tack welding the fender in position and then cut both and butt weld?

I like the conversion. I'm doing it somewhat to my '71T. Went to Michigan and picked up front end and rear, already had big rear fenders. Mine also will be black with Etoile spoked rims running 225's on front and 345's in rear. Difference is my lighting is in the front air dam as opposed to pop up lights. All Fiberglass for weight loss and looking at a short stroke 3.2 with an added turbo and a early 915 w/lsd. Suspension is nearly complete with massive updates to complete suspension. Should be extremely fast and light and incredible handling. Not Concours but extremely fun! good Luck!!!

Very nice, weld as you cut...very nice...after my flare work, I'd say that the method he's using is probably the smartest I've seen.

And doing it with a cigar! The only way to cut a 911..
