Voltage Regulator Replacement
It appears like my voltage regulator is going. The AC fan speeds up and the seat belt light is cycling on and going off. How big a deal is it to replace it my self?

It's a breeze. Removing the alternator is the hardest part. The diode board is easy to replace too, at least on a Paris Rhone.
Seat belt light?

The brushes on your regulator are probably worn down so replacing your regulator/ brush assembly will likely cure the voltage surging as it did when I replaced mine recently.
