993 exhaust on 3.2?

l`ve heard the 993 exhaust can be fit on the 964 engine with minor mods...what are the challanges of fitting to the 3.2? l`m pretty happy with my GHL until l go turbo but l`ve always wondered about this possibility, anyone care to point out the folly of such a match?

yes it can be done, you just have to change the flanges on one of the exchangers, I have a jig for it if you need it, Kevin

I think this has been asked before but I couldn't find it. Could 964 H/E be used on an SC or Carrera to give the same (but cheaper) effect as SSI's? You would have a 2 in 2 out system this way, wouldn't you?

so it CAN be done? Sweet,l wish l knew that before l bought the GHL set up.l`ve heard the 993 system gives great power plus it sounds fantastic, but will all that plumbing fit okay aft of the 3.2 also ? and then there`s the heat that needs to be fitted..can anyone post pics ?Those stock 993 headers might work perfect for my twin turbo conversion using Mitsu 13b turbos..

Check out
http://members.rennlist.com/tholyoak/993_flange_flip.htm

for pics/info on how I used Kevin's jig to rotate the flanges on the right side exchanger

Fitting to a 3.2 should be the same.

Todd

The 964 setup wasn't that great - that's why people go to the 993. I don't know if the 964 setup would be any better than the stock 3.2.
