I replaced the Balupunkt Monterey that was Original to my '83 911SC about two years ago with a cheapie base level Blaupunkt . Radio started acting funny amonth or so ago-poor amplification/distortion. etc. Then a few weeks ago it just quit.
Checked my factory and Bentley manuals and no references to any radio fuses. Oh well good excuse to buy a new one from Ebay! Installed new Balupunkt Orlando- wiring harnes plugs in exact match, reconnect the battery and....... nothin. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Get a volt meter and check to see if you have voltage at the plug that plugs into the radio. Key must be turned to the accessories position.
If no voltage there is a fuse from the ignition switch to the radio (in line fuse). You got to trace the wire back from the radio plug to the ignition switch. |

Just a thought if you haven't already checked. Check to make sure all the wires are the same within the harness. Then check under the hood for a fuse also. My stereo had two in-line fuses for power with the previous aftermarket deck.
