won't idle with a/c on

My '79 sc won't idle with the a/c turned on. Installed the upgraded sanden compressor and the engine pulls down and dies at idle. Any suggestions?

Hmmm, you shouldn't really notice much (if any) difference with the Sanden compressor. My '82 had the same problem until I made the switch to a Sanden. Your idle might just be really low. What does it idle at? Have you tried increasing the idle just a tad?

I would up the idle speed and check the mixture.
