In reviewing all my maintenance records, the sensors have never been replaced. I am tracking down a idle problem upon startup.

When cold, the engine stumbles for about 10 seconds and almost dies. After 10 sec's the engine idle is fine and pulls strong. I've cleaned and cleaned the ICV, all contacts, MAF, pulled plug connectors one at a time and noticed a drop in idle, replaced CHT, the idle switch activated and de-activates as usual.

The only thing I can think of is a tank of bad gas, but I ran injector cleaner through a full tank, adjusted the idle up. What's left is the speed and ref. sensors and maybe the ICV is defective.

I sure hate to go to a wrench fo an expensive diagnostic bill.

Thanks guys......

I replaced both sensors when mine had a no start-no spark problem. It was also having idle issues, hunting, high idle, low idle. I replaced both sensors, ran great, no more idle issues and have not had any more problems. Both of the sensors connectors were toasted and cracked up. I used anti-sieze when I installed the new sensors.

I replaced the O2 sensor and the ICV. ($400.00 geez)

The idle is now rock solid (no fluctuation) I will start the car in the am to see if the low idle issue is solved, however, when I adjusted the idle, I was able to get the idle to have no fluctuation whether I bypased the ICV or not....

Thanks everyone for the tips.....
