Well, I'll be. You did it. Congrats, bro. Enjoy the ride.

I like the color. I'd paint the wheels to match the dark brown body color and...and then...It goes on and on.

You could always repair and/or redye you seats....... www.leatherique.com and/or www.colorplus.com Good luck. |
You could always doll up the paint like this:http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1086640272.jpg

The seats are a no brainer. You don't want any factory seats. For track and even AX, sport seats with belt holes are a must! That eliminates the ugliest part of the tan interior. If it needs a dash, you are almost done.

Price: $8,500.
What it needs: Trunk and Engine lift shocks, new front tires, elect. windows are slow, a/c inop (go figure) and of course a color change.... And I'll have $3,500 left for the emergency break down fund or mods... |
Sounds like you got a good deal. And it is a coupe! The color will grow on you and will help to keep the cops away.
Now someone get Fenderguy to buy a car and we all can relax... George |
Good price.....I think your wait finally paid off!
|
Ed...
Congrats on your purchase! Killer price! I wouldn't change the color...my girlfriend is an interior designer and browns are coming back "in" big time! Trust me, it will grow on you. I live nearby in Colton...let me know if you ever want to go on a fun drive. |

I have really always liked the different look of the tan interior. mixing tan/black inside also looks cool adding a bit of contrast. Good Lucking Car! Let the Good Times start Rolling! |
I can feel the force of the SCWDP growing stronger day by day...

Ususally, it does not matter what you pay for a 911SC, when it is all said and done and the car is in top notch condition, you have about $14,000. in the car.
By the way, nice car. I like brown because it does not get a lot of attention. Clean, I think brown is one of the best Porsche colors, especially the metalic. |
Yeah, I think brown is really unappreciated. One time while I was in my brown SC, I was doing 80 past the Hiddenbrooke exit at American Canyon towards Fairfield (those who live in this area know it's a speed trap). I couldn't help myself because a new black Monte Carlo SS was tailgating me. I don't know what he had under the hood but that car snuck up on me pretty fast uphill. Anyway, I switched lanes and then he blew past me, probably doing 90. Not a half-a-minute later, a CHP was on my butt the he too switched lanes and chased down the Monte.

Check the paint code on the front drivers door post if it is 451 then you have a Mocha Braun paint job. If so welcome to the unique world of the brown turds. I just repainted my whole car and decided to stick with the original color. Yes, I was not to thrilled about the color when I bought my car in 1991. As people have said you will learn to like/love it after a while. The paint in the two pictures are the same color the difference is from the reflection of light and the 1991 photo is a scanned image from a print of the original single stage color. The 2004 is from a digital camera and the paint is PPG Deltron base/clearcoat. Gotta love the modern technology.
