IS this a Euro???Vin 9119201122

Ok, wanted to run car fax on the car I am purchasing and the vin number does not pull up..I believe this is a euro vin. If I am correct, what is the difference in a 1979 Euro vs. US??It doesn't look like a Euro, I mean it doesn't have cloth seat inserts or side marker lights....Is the engine displacement the same?

Thanks,

Ed

Looks like a 79 US model coupe.

euro/ROW VIN starts with WPOZZZ, most accurate way to tell.

Not in 1979. I think the WPO... VIN's started in 1980.

It's a 1979 US Coupe.

Carfax only works back until 1981 when the 17(?) digit VIN started. Before that, you're outta luck for a carfax.

Ed:

Congratulations!!!

That color is AWSOME. There is no way in hell you should do a color change unless the brown is not original. Damn, you are lucky you found a 911 that has a rare color.

By the way, I have seen the UPS livery car that "lowyder993s" posted in your other thread in person. That thing is no joke. It is one of the meaner looking 911's I have ever seen and it is BROWN.

Be proud!

Good luck.

Sincerely,

Mike
