Hi Wayne,good article.
If i were to add anything, from experience of circuit board repair i prefer to remove the old solder from a dry joint then resolder using some fresh solder. I use a "solder sucker" in my job they are easy to use and are quite cheap. Heres a link to a tool similar to mine http://www.wassco.com/palpa1despum.html cheers ![]()
