I can't believe it's gone

As of today, at about 4 o'clock, I am now Porsche-less. As I watched him load it on the truck, I just wanted to hop in and take off, to hell with my buyer. Unfortunately, I just stood there, as my 911 and three conversion vans drove off in the direction of California. I keep telling myself that it was best for now, and that I'll someday have another, but right now, it really doesn't make me feel any better. I thought I'd post a couple of pics of myself and my new son (2 1/2 mo.) in my 911, as a goodbye of sorts. Thanks for all the advice you guys have given me, as well as hours of entertainment. I'll still get on from time to time, but it seems like I'm constantly busy since Braden came, one of the many reasons I sold the car. Later....

Congratulations......I guess. Keep us posted on what's new in your world. You became part of the family. I know you will be back in a Porsche some day.

Actually, you're in a great position. If a smokin' deal comes along, you'll know a lot more about what to do than you did 6 months ago. Don't pass up a $500 914. You'd be surprised, some of those are only a few bucks from being a driver. Most are junk. But, see, you know that. You know what to run from.

Hang in there Matt. Trading the Porsche for a beautiful son is a good trade. There will be another 911 in your future, when the time is right.

Great pictures, and from the looks on yours and you son's faces, it seems like you have your priorities in order. Looks like you made the right choice.

I bet Braden is gonna miss that car, though! Maybe a father-son project Porsche in the future?

Come back soon, and good luck!

Your priorities are definetely in order, after all it's only a car......well it's a porsche so it's a little more than a car.......I can't help to think that one day when your son is grown up he will look at these pictures and see that "classic" and wish you still had it, as will you. Take care

Not to worry Matt - You made the right choice I am sure. It is only a car. Like Zeke said, next time you run acros a good p-car you will know, and it may be a steal at that time too.

Hey Matt, your kid looks real good, congratulations.
Porscheless today may be, Porschemore later!

Do not forget, bro, by the time you buy your next one, it may be a 997 of something even hotter, man! (slitely TIC..tongue in cheek).

You know ...step backwards to make a larger leap forward...

Congratulations! As pretty as your 911T was you definitely traded up. Plus you'll be able to share the joys of your next 911 when your son gets older.

I give you 2 years max. before the next boxer six is in your garage. When that excellent little dude is old enough to walk and talk, he'll be asking for rides and you'll be back in the saddle. Stay with us so you don't have to come back.

Good looking boy. My father made the same sacrifice for us and sold his beloved (jag) XK 150. Well, once things settled a little he started to put some stuff in the barn again. It'll never go out of your blood and then like my dad you instill the same in your son.

Hi Matt, When my son was born, I had a 944 that I loved. The car seat would not fit in the back and we had to sell it, that was 1988. I always wanted a 911 but never thought it possible until two years ago when my wife suggested we get out of motorcycling and do something else. That was an opportunity to realize a dream of mine. My son is now 16 and want to drive the 911 pretty bad, a dream of his also. Don't be afraid to keep the dream alive, for your sake and your son's. (Good looking kid by the way)

He'll probably have a 'vintage' 993 by then.
