The sport seats are great. I love mine. They are so much better than the stock seats in my 73. They are very comfortable.

At concours condition,

these seats would fetch 3500 to 4000 US.

I sold a pair that had been redone- (to excellent condition, but not concours as the hardware wasn't stripped & totally rebuilt) with 1 base missing for $2600. $1400 is a good deal.

You guys need to get a life. $1400 for a shot pair of seats? I guess it is all about being "correct"? You can't even put a sub belt through those, no hole!!! I am just joking, but I really think you should consider hot rodding and racing your cars instead.

Why not get a nice set of new sparcos, recaros or corbeaus? For $1300, you can get corbeaus covered in real leather! I really am missing something here, I suppose.

Take care, George

Rare enough I suppose that buyers will pay 3 times what it would cost to get a lighter, safer, competition seat that doesn't need refinishing. I can understand sticking to original items when they are superior to what else if available. I can't understand overpaying for something when better parts are readily available for less money. Maybe why I quit doing concours a few years back.

I get the point of being era correct. But if that's not the point, just getting seats because they are rare - that doesn't make sense. A 4 door light blue with brown interior, straight six equipped, chevy nova from 1974 may be rare, but nobody pays serious moolah for it either.

now now...don't pee in his cornflakes. Just because he wants to put cool seats in his car doesn't mean its stupid or evil. They definitely will give a different flavor to the interior as opposed to a set of new race seats. I'm going to run Sparcos in my car, but I can see the attraction to the original sport seats (as long as someone else is payin').

So, it is era correct then, what folks are after! Fair enough. Go ahead.

Anyone want my era correct SC seats for $1400?

George
