993 TT
Im looking at picking up a 993 TT to complement my 86. Are there any special considerations that I should consider...other than typical PPI? Are the TTs as reliable through the higher mileages like the 911s and 993s?

Get a good PPI, a 96 should be in the 60's a 97 should be
in the high 60'to 70's unless you find a very low mile one. Dealers like to ask in the 80's Even then there can be problems from the car sitting, dont be afraid of a 50 -60k mile based on the PPI. Drive it visually inspect it to death and make sure when you drive it get in 3rd or so and make sure teh boost gauge hits .8 if it does not get above .5 then the motor could be in limp mode which would be a prblem- Dupont and Autotrader has em

A secondary issue worth consideration (regarding asking price) with these cars might be optional equipment. A lot of them were ordered with fancy factory options, which added up pretty quick. a 993tt with $15k++ in options alone was not unheard of. One desireable option that I'd keep an eye out for would be the hard-back sport seats (very nice IMO). Good luck, and keep us posted!

Not trying to start any comparisons on which is the better place to hang out , but if you want more info on the 993TT, be sure to hop over to Rennlist and visit both the 993 and 993 Turbo forums. Lots of good info on current market prices and things to look out for.
