I just shipped my car from LA to MI.

I used Reliable Carriers out of AZ (enclosed trailer). They do a ton of work for the Big Three, etc... I had no problems, other than they were very busy, so it took a few weeks.

$1100.00, but my car was running. I'm fairly sure that they charge more for non running vehicles.

I also contacted a few other places with prices up to $1500.00+ for enclosed trailers.

Reliable - 800 528 5709

Transport info:
Need auto transport recommendations

Now this is why you send your car “not running.”
Delivery of my car. But wait!! She brought some friends, oh my!!
This is a long thread but worth reading!

I am just now transporting a car from Berkeley to Denver. AAA is picking it up on a flat-bed and delivering it to the transport company in Oakland. There it will sit until there is a load going toward Denver. Since it is not running, it goes in the truck first and won’t be off loaded until it gets to Denver (an extra $100). Total cost is $550.

I made a deal with a Berkeley Nissan dealer to provide a day or two of storage in an emergency. It is being delivered to a Nissan dealer in Denver who offered to help. The car is a ’72 510, 103K mi, original paint, one owner.

All I did was to use the Denver and Berkeley yellow pages.

I will get a disposable camera in the mail, full of pictures of the car on the flat-bed. You should do the same, disconnect the battery, and record the mileage.

Best,
Grady

I'll second the kudos for Intercity. Real-time tracking, courteous, door-to-door, etc. My 930 was far and away the least expensive car on its truck, too.

I just finished using Concours Transport Systems,
and I am a 100% satisfied customer. They picked
up and delivered within the 1-2 day window they
promised. The car was shipped from Alabama to
CA., without any mark or scratch. The name of the
owner/operator is Fred Koller (702)361-1928. The name
of the driver was Mitch. I would if at all possible request
him, as he handled my car as if it were his own.
Delivery took 4.5 days.
