Ignition Wires, how do you know if they are bad?

I am doing a tune up on my car. So while I am ordering the filters, plugs, etc. I was thinking about replacing the plug wires too. Not sure if I need to. How do you know or when should you. I am not having any problems that I believe, but the wires do look like the original braded ones, and the car does have 94K miles on it. What is the thought on this? and what is a good set to replace them with?

Thanks,

Ed

Ed, now would be a good time to learn the use of the "search" button as this topic is beat to death at least once every other month.

Ed,

Is there a light show in the engine bay at night? Are there bulges in the wires? Do the wires remove easily from the connectors? are you having issues with the spark in your car? You might need new wires if you answer yes to any of these.
