The compressors are different. The SC uses a York compressor with flare fittings whereas the Carrera uses a nippondenso compressor with O-ring fitting.

Best replacement compressor for the York is a Seiki Seiko rotary compressor, You will need an adapter plate and a new hose from the condesor to the compressor and an adapter hose from the evaporator to the compressor.

Second best replacement compressor is a Sanden wobble plate compressor. Same requirements as the Seiki Seiko.

You can use the Carrera compressor but you will either have to have new hoses fabricated with the correct o-ring fittings for the compressor and flare fittings for the condenser and evaporator, or get a adapter to convert the o-ring fittings to flare fitting. You will also have to get all the mounting plate from the Carrera engine.

You may also need to check the evaporator fan housing to make sure it clears the smuggler's box door. At some point ('86 maybe?) they changed the fan housing and had to make a "bump" in the smuggler's box door to clear the top of the fan housing. Nothing a sledge hammer won't fix...
