Trouble with clutch helper spring- Specialists Help!!

I have a weird phenomeneon with my helper spring on the gearbox. It rubs on the casing, but only when I need to "play" with the clutch, i.e. when I am manoeuvering, or slow starting. You can see on the pics where it rubs (red arrow). I noticed that the shape where the spring attaches to its pivot is not circular, but oval, allowing the spring to move enough to touch the gearbox (green arrow). Is that physiologic??

Here's a shot from a slightly different angle...you can see the piece that Noak is talking about on the left hand side.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into that.
But I can't see how this will prevent the spring from touching the gearbox casing??
Is the "hook" part of the helper spring (where there is only one layer of steel) supposed to be circlulare or oval in shape?

Here's another shot of the same location with the helper spring in place...

Kinda hard to tell, but mine seems to have more of a J-hook to it than yours does....hmmmmm. For what it's worth, I'm not aware of mine rubbing at all...
