Rear seat delete on '84 cab

Looking at 84 cab with what the owner says is a factory option rear seat delete. It has two storage compartments instead.

What would it take, if possible, to convert to rear seats? Anybody done it?

Remove the seat delete and install seats , fairly simple process . The part you are talking about removing will bring a good price from someone on this board.

The seat delete is cool. If you remove it you should have no problem selling it, as others have stated.

WHOA Fellas.....don't have this car yet. The only real negative (for me alone obviously) is the deleted rear seat. I don't want the kids to stay at home everytime I want to drive the car.

It's an '84 cab chiffon ext. brown int. with 172K on it. Current owner has had for 15 years, he got it with 50K and has all of the records. May check it out this weekend. Asking 12K obo.

If the rear seat delete detracts you from the purchase, I would keep looking, you can find one with the rear seats. Then again I am sure you could easly find a trade for the compartment enclosure.
As it stands. the price is not bad.. but there are many others out there

Wow, if the PPI checks out, that's a pretty nice deal on an 84 cab... The seat delete should not deter the purchase if it checks out well. They remove easily and you'll be rid of that delete in a heartbeat, unless it's some off color...
