Pretty good article on a 1980 911SC in GRM

The August issue talks about a fellow buying a stock 911SC with 60,000 miles and doing some suspension and motor work producing 220 horsepower with a D. Elgin cam and SSI's. He had to have a K&N filter to get that kind of power with those 2 changes.

Sport Compact has a nice test of 7 dynos. It's worth a read.

He misspoke. What he meant to say was the K&N *sticker* was required to bump it to 220 hp...

No , honest they tested 7 dynos. Looking for some way to compare between them. Their advice , take the #s w/ a grain of salt and stick to one dyno.

Ah, I completely misunderstood, probably because I wasn't paying enough attention. I thought you were claiming that they did 7 dynos of cars like ours. I was thinking along the lines of the "power tests" that some of those mags do where they dyno with cone filter, then cat-back plus cone filter, then header plus cat-back plus cone filter ... blah.

Ya when they come up wth a 3.0 SC that makes 220 with cams and SSIs a grain of salt is something to consider as is the bad dyno reading

GRM stands for ?
