Data Logging

Here is a chart from my log file showing a first and second gear pull. I guess, regarding my EFI tuning and "drag racing" ability, the log doesn't lie ...

Current issues/ questions:
1. Cannot launch hard ( have to really slip out the clutch or rear end skips and knocks the car out of gear). Gearbox problem?

2. First to second gear shift is very rough. Synchros?

3. Engine running too rich (under 12:1 at times). Reduced power?

Any comments would be appreciated.

What equipment do you have for your data acquisition? I like it.

BTW, one second to shift 1-2 is not bad for these cars. I have found the higher the rpm in 1st, the tougher the shift. I have a 901, which makes it even harder.

The data logging is part of my DTA EFI system. Just kills me that it takes as long to shift as it does to almost redline 1st...

Have you got the fuel correction map to work yet? I just got mine to work and am playing with it. How did you get the DTA to make that spiffy graph?

The DTA generates a log file. I simply import it to excel and create a chart with the data.

I am still playing with my basic maps, had some good runs last night. I will post later.

How are you picking up TP data? The only variables are WOT and idle switches, no? These are just on/off configurations - not throttle position.

Throttle position is sent via a rotary throttle position sensor (colvern pot) mounted on the throttle bodies.

I think the reason your car is popping out of 1st and is rough into 2nd is that YOU ARE DRAG RACING A 911SC!!!

Oops, sorry for raising my voice...
