Yes Chris, it was a great feeling of accomplishment. I truly feel that I have a bond with this car. I have seen it from a rusty pile of crap to a bare shell with just a wiring harness to paint and body panels and now a running engine.

When I think about it I have done a ton of work.

Now I really want to get the brakes on and take it for a spin.

Great to see your car running. I'm sure many of us have had a smoking 911 incident at one time or another.

What's with the center reflector in the background? A decorative touch for the garage or a result of the flash?

The reflector came from the 78SC donor we parted. Its an early black letter one in really good condition, except for the broken mounts on teh back. It now serves as wall art and shows up in every photo from the flash.

We had a fan in the garage that blew all the smoke towards the house. My wife then complained the house smelled like that "old" car. AHH the early air-cooled smell of fuel and oil.

Jamie--

Nice work! All those little nagging issues could be resolved with a quick engine drop.

Sure Dan, drive on out and we'll take it back out of the car. In fact, you can put some other NoVA gang members in the back seat. I guess I should take that opportunity to build the 3.2SS that I keep thinking about.

Wow, I just got one engine running and I want to build another. What is this world coming to.
