LOL! I snuck the car wash in between my "honey-do" things today.
I am thinking the wheels should stay silver for now.
Thanks Max.

What kind of wheels are those? Looks nice.
Although i'm a fan of black wheels (see below), i must agree with you. The silver wheels compliment the nice blue of your car.

Max--living here in SoCal, you know i'm not afraid of the sun

Mike, the silver wheels are 993 16" rims.
Not that many around, as most 993s came with the 17"s.

here's a set on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7907379454&category=66482
not affiliated etc. etc.

They are a relatively cheap way to put 7 and 9 inch Porsche wheels on an SC or Carrera. They are a bit heavier than the fuchs, but not by much.

But, spacers will have to be used. What spacer widths did you end up using Wayne ??

Good morning.
I ended up with 2 inch spacers in the rear and 1inch in the front. I don't track the car so Iwasn't concerned. I picked up the wheels with almost new Bridgestones for 500.00. Sold 15x7 and 8 Fuchs to offset the cost.
I wanted Cup wheels but these were close enough for now. Plus, I like to be different than the norm.

i happened to have the point and shoot camera with me the other day when i saw a local car with the Boxster 16s. i have seen it around, but never when i had my camera.

These wheels are very similar to the 993 16s.

if the front of the car was lowered a bit, it would look a little better (although some of the rake is from weight transfer-- the light had just turned green )max
